Faraaz Akhtar is an associate lawyer with Porter Ramsay specializing in Family law and general litigation. Faraaz’s work has included numerous appearances in British Columbia’s Provincial and Supreme Court.
Faraaz was born in Montreal, but grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where he lived until joining Porter Ramsay in the summer of 2021. He received both his Bachelor of Commerce (2013) and Juris Doctorate (2018) degrees from the University of Saskatchewan. In between and during his post-secondary studies Faraaz spent time working as a marketing analyst, and educator in Peru and Canada, and as a volunteer with Community Legal Services in Saskatoon. He joined Porter Ramsay as an articled student and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2022.
Faraaz uses his varied life experience to bring clients effective and innovative solutions to their matters. Outside the office, Faraaz can be found exploring the Okanagan’s natural wonders on foot, bike, board and boat.
