Faraaz Akhtar is an articled student with Porter Ramsay, practicing and gaining experience in a variety of fields including civil litigation, family, real estate and child protection. Faraaz was born in Montreal, but grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where he lived until joining Porter Ramsay in summer 2021. His anticipated call date is August 2022. Highlights of Faraaz’s legal studies included competing at the 2018 Jessup International Law moot, and a year spent on exchange at the University of Birmingham (UK). In between and during his post-secondary studies Faraaz spent time working as a marketing analyst, an educator in Peru and Canada, and as a volunteer with Community Legal Services in Saskatoon.

Faraaz uses his varied life experience to bring clients effective and innovative solutions to their matters. Outside the office, Faraaz can be found exploring the Okanagan’s natural wonders on foot, bike, board and boat.
